I just got a 2011 Acura TSX the other week and couldn't wait to replace some of the stock light bulbs with bright, white LEDs. I got the daytime running light kit (LED_SKU45_R2 - Xenon White 9005 HB3 LED Daytime Running Light Bulbs + DRL Decoder Kit For Acura TL TSX RDX MDX ZDX Honda Accord Civic Odyssey Pilot CR-Z) and interior + license plate kit (PKG_ACURA_SMD_16 - iJDMTOY 7 Lights Wide Angle Shine Deluxe SMD LED Interior/Complete Package for 2009 and up Acura TSX) from iJDM Toy. You can also check Amazon for similar kits or just a specific bulb.

I haven't seen any TSXes (of any model year) in my area that have the LED DRLs. I check out every TSX on the road, and it'd be pretty obvious if they had these. So I'm probably one of the first in this area.

You’d want to check this in the spring/summer when all the trees are full of leaves because that will block the sun to certain areas. Even if you don’t plan to plant anything right away, you’ll have this information so you can start making plans regarding which types of plants will do well in which areas. This is important because some plants require a lot of sunlight and some are shade-tolerant. (more…)

2011-06-22 Initial post

The other month I took some tools to the local Ace Hardware to get them sharpened (that’s one thing that Home Depot and Lowe’s don’t do—at least not the ones around my area). One of the tools was a half-moon edger (see more about this tool on my other post here). I didn’t want the edger to have a very sharp edge, but it ended up being sharpened like an axe. (more…)

Grammar Notes

Sunday, March 6th, 2011

Just some miscellaneous notes on grammar that I started a few years ago while finishing up my bachelor's degree. There are some conflicting rules between different groups and even within the same groups. For example, the English and Engineering departments at the same college might use different format requirements for their research papers. For my major (MIS), I was required to use APA Style.
